Scientific publisher World Scientific Publishing Company (WSPC), Singapore, has announced a new collaborative publishing venture with the Society of Porphyrins and Phthalocyanines (SPP). Under the deal, WSPC will take over all publishing and marketing aspects of the latter's journal, Journal of Porphyrins and Phthalocyanines (JPP), effective January 1, 2009.
Published monthly, JPP is an international peer-reviewed journal which covers all aspects of porphyrins, phthalocyanines and structurally-related materials research as well as research in the chemistry, physics and biology domains. Under this alliance, the SPP sees World Scientific as an invaluable partner lending its professional sales and marketing expertise to increase the circulation and readership of the journal.
Earlier, in September 2008, WSPC together with Imperial College Press (ICP) announced the launch of several new journals in 2009. Journals scheduled for launch in 2009 include Advances in Environmental Research and Development; Asia Pacific Journal of Climate Change; Confluentes Mathematici; Journal of Topology and Analysis; Middle East Development Journal; and Int'l Journal of Applied Mechanics. It was also announced that some journals will publish more issues in 2009 due to an increase of accepted papers.
