Scientific publisher World Scientific Publishing Company, US, has announced that it has signed an agreement with Baker & Taylor's TextStream Digital Print Service to provide print-to-order services. World Scientific Publishing's academic titles, spanning a range of scientific series, will be available for quick delivery to Baker & Taylor's worldwide network of library and retail customers.
TextStream seeks to provide publishers with a full range of print-on-demand/print-to-order services with a wide variety of binding formats and trim sizes. It claims to eliminate inventory guesswork by printing publishers' books as publishers sell them. Combined with Baker & Taylor's library and retail channels, TextStream is projected to represent an excellent and rich resource for World Scientific.
World Scientific offers titles in subjects such as physics, mathematics, chemistry, engineering, computer science and social sciences. With the new alliance it expects to work with Baker & Taylor to better serve its academic customers by quickly reaching its market with the books it wants and needs.
