Integrated media firms Ziff Davis Enterprise, US, and IDG TechNetwork have announced a business partnership designed to help technology marketers and agencies reach a larger audience with their branding, product launch and lead generation programmes. In the first phase of the agreement, Ziff Davis' Developer Shed Network (DSN) will join the IDG TechNetwork, a media and ad network of more than 200 non-IDG publishers.
DSN is projected as an online suite of developer content, tools and community applications featuring 16 websites, targeted sections, blogs, virtual events and a library of both editorial and user-generated content. It claims a global developer reach of 8 million unique site visitors per month and an audience comprised of developers and IT professionals spanning multiple platforms and programming languages and major vertical industries worldwide.
Portrayed as the first alliance of its kind in the IT publishing industry, the partnership seeks to bring together the strengths of the two media companies and create an expansive and powerful developer advertising network. It is the first of several collaborations planned between the two companies.
