Cashmere and IOP Publishing (IOPP) have announced a partnership to make IOPP’s portfolio of book and journal research accessible through authorized AI applications. The agreement enables licensed use of content for inference purposes while preventing exposure to unauthorized large language model training.

As AI becomes a common channel for information discovery, publishers are exploring ways to provide trusted content through these platforms while maintaining transparency in usage. Cashmere’s infrastructure supports copyright‑compliant licensing, enables publishers to monitor how content is accessed, and provides insights into user engagement.

Jonathan Munk, Co‑Founder and CEO of Cashmere, stated that IOPP’s rigorously reviewed research represents the type of reliable content needed for inference in AI systems. He explained that Cashmere’s infrastructure allows IOPP to make its content available on its own terms, licensed for inference, protected from training use, and fully tracked to ensure visibility and compensation.
